Chris Martin has spent more than 25 years learning exactly what makes people trust what they're watching — starting at CBS News, where he produced primetime documentaries, and going on to become one of the youngest producers in the history of 60 Minutes, working alongside Dan Rather.
After nearly 15 years in New York, Chris moved to become a producer at The Oprah Winfrey Show, working closely with Oprah and hundreds of guests over almost five years. He then returned to New York to help launch The Dr. Oz Show, a $200 million production.
In 2010, Chris moved to Austin, TX to become Director of Communications and Multi-Channel Marketing for Myriad Genetics, a leading biotechnology company — his first move from the newsroom into building a brand's voice from the inside.
That experience led him to found LEVER.MEDIA in 2014, a strategic marketing and communications consulting firm helping companies sharpen their messaging and elevate their public profile.
In 2017, Chris paused consulting to produce documentaries and news programming for Charter Communications, where he earned two Emmy Awards for Lone Star Crisis, Faith and Firepower, and L.A. Under the Gun — a small team taking on national issues like the opioid epidemic and gun violence through a local lens, widely praised for fairness and depth.
In 2020, Chris relaunched LEVER.MEDIA to serve companies, non-profits, law firms, healthcare organizations, and individuals navigating an increasingly complicated media landscape. In 2023, he joined Next Practices Group as President and Head of Content Production for Next Content Labs, serving a diverse roster of global brands.
Across his career, Chris has been awarded a Peabody and four Emmy Awards.
